COVER LETTER
Why I think I'm the perfect match for your company

I have completed six years of college, with an emphasis in computer science, and have training and experience in C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, C++, Delphi, perl, ASP, VBScript, Javascript, AJAX, XML, XSLT, CSS and SQL Server.

I have spent over two years developing EDI applications using BizTalk 2010, C#, SQL Server 2010 and Visual Studio 2010 with Team Foundation Server.

I was a senior developer designing and maintaining a heavily object-oriented Financial and Operations System for a national recycling company, including the views and stored procedures that drove the system's reports. I designed and maintained reports using Crystal Reports, programmed in VB.Net, and worked with SQL Server 2008 for the backend.

I spent two years working on projects for companies that couldn't afford their own IT departments. These projects include WinForms financial applications (CapitaLogix), intranet financial applications (KJC Auto, Cash4Truckers), Sharepoint intranet applications (EyeMasters/ECCA), modification of legacy patent applications (Hitt Gaines) and national 'nannycam' websites (TenderTidings.com, TenderPets.com, TenderSeniors.com). I used Visual Studio, C#, VB.NET, PHP, Javascript, CSS, AJAX, SQL Server, MySQL and MSAccess.

I spent four years developing and maintaining perl applications designed to perform FTP downloads of medical records files in a dozen different formats, to preprocess those files, then reformat them for import into SQL Server 2000 databases, for over a hundred medical facilities.

I was solely responsible for the integration of dozens of separate processing scripts into two or three generalized scripts, streamlining the file downloading processes, and creating a script to perform complex moves of contract and product databases between servers.

Using C# and ASP.NET, I created a web-based application to track changes to the insurance product database.

In addition, I created several utilities in support of facility research, including conversion of UTF16 XML files to UTF8 XML files and XSLT transforms to extract and present data from XML files.

I spent a year developing, maintaining, and documenting a large mortgage banking application. The product, "R2 | Repurchase & Recovery", was developed with Delphi and used the Advantage SQL Server. R2 includes user-customizable reporting, user-customizable queries and options to export records to HTML and Excel, and is now being marketed to the investment banking industry in Los Angeles.

Prior to that, I was the sole technical resource in support of Sales and Operations for a hazardous waste company in Arlington, Texas. I wrote and documented programs in C++, Delphi and perl using Access and Paradox for database development.

I hope you'll agree that not only do I meet your requirements, but that I am perfect for the position. Resume and salary requirements available upon request.

Thank you for your consideration, and please contact me if you have any questions.
